蜡模精密铸造，又称为失蜡铸造或熔模铸造。

铸造方法是：先把要做的铸件用蜡料制成模型，并把模型用同种材料焊接到浇口棒上，制成模组（铸件大时可以单个为一组），在模组表面蘸上耐火涂料（水玻璃或硅溶胶与细砂的混合物），再洒上耐火砂，（沾浆、撒砂要反复数次，使砂层足够厚），待其干燥固化后，给模组加热，把蜡料从浇口处脱出，形成空壳。将空壳焙烧，使之成为坚固的模壳，将金属液体从浇口浇入，冷凝后，就成为金属铸件。
The casting method is to make a model of the castings to be made with wax, and weld the model to the gate bar with the same material to make a module (when the castings are large, they can be separated into a group), dip the refractory coating (water glass or silica sol mixed with fine sand) on the surface of the module, and then sprinkle the refractory sand (dipping and sprinkling the mortar repeatedly several times, so that the sand layer is thick enough), and wait for it to be dried and solidified. After chemical treatment, the module is heated and the wax material is removed from the gate to form a hollow shell. The shell is roasted to form a solid mold. The liquid metal is poured through the gate and condensed to form a metal casting.
